As part of our mission to strengthen the Dermatology ecosystem and promote patient inclusion in policy and research, ESK is organizing the Derma Science Patient –Centred Conference, scheduled to take place from 12th to 14th February 2026 at Alupe University, Busia County.
This unique event will bring together patients, dermatologists, researchers, policymakers and industry stakeholders to explore innovative, equitable and sustainable approaches to skin health and patient care in Africa.
The Conference aims to:
Strengthen multi-sectoral collaboration between the Government, academia and patient–led organisations.
Promote awareness and implementation of the recent World Health Assembly (WHA) resolution on skin diseases.
Discuss the recently updated WHO list of essential medicines to include key skin health products in the EML, and engage the MOH and relevant agencies to align the National essential medicines list with these recommendations.
